Who should not take this

  • Anyone looking for a way to buy property with no money. Auctions are cash, due within a day.
  • Anyone who wants to be told it is easy. Most lots we look at, we pass on.
  • Anyone who needs the money they would bid with. You can lose it on a bad title.
  • Anyone who will not read a court docket. That is most of the work.

Other ways to learn this

You have cheaper options, and some of them are good. Here is what each one is for.

OptionGood forWhere it stops
The clerk's own training videosFree, and accurate about how the auction website works. They explain the platform, not which lots to buy or which liens survive.
Auction data softwareCheap, and it lists every upcoming sale in the state.Raw listings. Deciding what a lot actually is remains your job.
A community college evening classInexpensive and in person.A few hours of overview rather than live cases.
National real estate seminarsWide reach, polished material.Rarely specific to Florida's judicial process or to county clerk rules.
